Many people believe in the old time cliché that to lose some pounds, you must stop eating or refrain from eating when you go hungry. This is absolutely wrong. By doing that, you will not only experience that uncomfortable feeling of emptiness, but you will also allow the glycogen of your liver to fall below normal. When this happens, your blood glucose will be poor and your pancreas will not be secreting enough insulin. This will lead to a serious of imbalances in your body, specifically in your metabolism, and will not result in efficient and proper weight loss.

Losing weight literally means eating properly and enough to not go hungry. That is your main goal. People usually make the mistake of eating the famous three meals of the day. They sit down, have a big and delicious meal and then go and sit on their desk to work, until they go HUNGRY again, and prepare to eat once more. YOU CANNOT DO THAT. Your body is your best tool for losing weight. Your body is already a potential furnace ready to function and help you get rid of the fat you have created because of your eating habits. Take the best out of your body.

The secret comes plainly as it is: your body works as a dryer, if you load the dryer with lots of heavy clothes, you will probably not reach desirable results of dryness. It works the same with your body--the more heavy foods and huge portions you put at once will inhibit your metabolism's ability to function at its fullest and you will not get the proper vitamins from the food. On the other hand, when you ingest little by little, your fat will circulate better and your metabolism will boost up to its best efficiency. You will not take care of getting rid of the fat; your body will do it for you.

Finally, if you want to lose weight, you should do the following:

1. In the morning, on your empty stomach eat some seeds of any kind, preferably pumpkin seeds or almonds. AVOID peanuts.

2. Drink purified water when you stop eating your seeds or you feel you had enough of seeds. Drink one big glass of water at normal temperature; don't add ice.

3. After more or less 45 minutes to an hour, eat a serving of fresh fruit, yogurt, whole grain cereal, or whole grain bread. Or, have a substantial salad of your choice. DO NOT put any creamy dressing. Use extra virgin olive oil (the best quality will say "First Cold Press" on the label) or organic safflower oil. Drink water once again.

4. For lunch, if you cannot resist the temptation of meat, have a small portion of chicken or fish. Have just one portion of meat, no bigger than the size of your hand. Eat the heavy proteins of the meal first, followed by other side dishes, like starches (rice, pasta, bread, etc.) and vegetables.

5. After lunch, keep eating hourly healthy snacks and, once in a while, "forbidden" foods you want, but make sure after 6 PM you DO NOT ingest anything else. Instead, do any cardiovascular activity or take a nice sauna bath to release all the toxins of your body.

6. Finally, before going to bed, take a breathing session. Deeply inhale, and then exhale all the air out of your lungs till your belly contracts. Repeat for 5-10 minutes.
