With most any disease or condition the cause can be traced back to toxins, pollutants, parasites and processed food. One of the very best things you can do for yourself is to eat organic and natural whenever possible. And if you are already sick and looking to get better, this is a must and you must begin right away. When the thyroid gland produces less of the thyroid hormone then it should - it is considered to be Hypothyroidism.

The symptoms of this condition are many; weight gain, swollen face and eyes, headaches, fatigue, hair loss, depression, constipation, problems with metabolism, irritability, and more.

And just as there are many symptoms there are also a myriad of causes; Stress, vitamin B deficiencies, liver problems, hormone imbalances and of course parasites, toxins, allergies and a lack of exercise. First you will want to test yourself to see if this is an issue for you. A good test to try is called the Broda Barnes Home Thyroid Test: Put a thermometer by the bed before sleep. Now before getting up place the thermometer under your armpit for 15 minutes. If you temperature is below 97.5 �F you may have a problem with your thyroid. You'll want to do this for 3 days in a row and take the average of the 3 temperatures. If it remains consistently low then it's a good possibility you have hypothyroidism.

To combat this in a natural way start by eating only organic and heavy with the foods that are high in iodine which are kelp, fish, root vegetables, and vegetables. You will also want to increase foods with vitamin B complex such as, whole grains, nuts, seeds and foods rich with vitamin A, dark geen and yellow vegetables.

Avoid cabbage, Brussels sprouts, mustard greens, broccoli, turnips, kale, spinach, peaches, and pears.

If your case is not to severe then the herbs mugwort and gentian, yellowdock, butternut, cascara sagrada and St. John's wort may be helpful. And Calc carb in a dose of 1M once a day.
